Canine First Aid Course

When:  August 26th from 9am to approximately 5pm

Who:  Adal is a former Army medic, ground and flight paramedic with 20+ years of experience in BLS, ALS and Wildland first aid. He is passionate about emergency medicine and about passing on knowledge related to first aid for humans and animals alike. In his experiences around the world he has studied and treated numerous types of critters, from village livestock to exotic elephants and of course our ever faithful companions, dogs. He has created this class to address the most common and some less common injuries you may encounter with your K9 companion. He and his wife have also been involved with rescue for close to 15 years. Through their experience they have gained much knowledge and insight into the canine/owner experience.

This class is primarily a canine first aid class designed for the pet owner that has basic to mid level first aid skills. Class will run 6-8 hours depending on class size and general level of first aid experience of clients attending. We will cover numerous topics ranging from the basic anatomy to major trauma and how to address immediate needs appropriately.

This course will not turn you into a vet, but will help give you the confidence to handle the most common pet emergencies so you can get your best friend to a higher level of care in a safe and competent manner. *This is not a certified class.
